Billables
Billables records working time for each project and turns it into a breakdown for hourly billing. Each project is a colored card with its entries (date, activity, duration); the app calculates the total hours and the amount itself. You can log time by hand, with the timer, via Siri or by voice. All data stays on your device.

How it works
- New project: Tap “+” at the bottom right and choose a color. Change the number and name via the pencil in the card.
- Entry: In the opened card, tap “+” and enter the activity, date and duration. Swipe an entry to the right to edit it, to the left to delete it.
- Timer: The clock button of a card starts the timer for that project. When you stop it, the app suggests an entry, rounded up to the billing increment (1, 6 or 15 minutes).
- Voice input: The star button opens the AI input. Say, for example, “Project 4/26: 2 hours drafting a brief, for last Friday”. You see a preview; nothing is saved until you confirm.
- Breakdown: In the opened card, tap the share symbol and choose “CSV” (for Excel) or “Text”.
- Settings: Tap the logo at the top left: hourly rate and currency for new projects, billing increment, sort order, backup and guide.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the AI input unavailable?
Voice input uses Apple’s on-device language model. It requires iOS 27 and a device with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later, iPad or Mac with an M-series chip), turned on under Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri. Right after you turn it on, the device may still be downloading the model; try again a little later. All other features work without Apple Intelligence.
How do I move my projects to a new device?
Create a backup in the settings and save the file, for example in iCloud Drive. On the new device, choose “Restore” in the settings and select that file. You get the full version back with “Restore Purchases” in the purchase screen.
How much does the app cost?
Billables is free and includes one project with all features. For unlimited projects there is the full version as a one-time purchase, no subscription. It works on all devices with the same Apple ID.
Siri does not understand my command. What can I do?
The commands are, for example, “Log time in Billables”, “Record hours in Billables”, “Start Billables timer” and “Stop Billables timer”. They are also listed in the Shortcuts app under “Billables”, where you can run them or assign them to the Action Button.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your device, in the app’s own storage. Billables has no server and no account. A copy only exists if you save or share a backup or breakdown yourself, and in the device backup made by iCloud or your computer.
